Message From The Chief
As the last full month of Summer comes to a close, we’ve had a very eventful season.
First of all, I would like to announce major changes were made to the Officers handbook! You can view these changes within the pop up at the top of the page. Furthermore, RTU Command have been hard at work overhauling the RTU handbook as well, condensing and making information a lot easier and concise to understand.
This month, Aquaa, one of our longest serving members of SMT and the Command team in general, stepped down from their position as Head of Operations Services. I would like to take the time to thank Aquaa for his 4 year tenure within PD Command, serving as a Lieutenant in traffic before becoming Head of Patrol, and rising to the rank of Major of Operations services, a position he held for 2 years, being at the forefront of many major positive changes throughout this period. This month, former Internal Affairs Lieutenant Vollgas stepped up to take his place, and has already begun putting a lot of work into his new role excellently. Vollgas’s former role of Lieutenant of IA was filled by Lieutenant SunnyR, who also has begun his work within IA to an excellent standard.
Keeping the news within OS, The head of Operations Services has recently announced that a new role within OS has been created. For anyone with the experience and expertise, as well as the drive and desire to hold a significant position within OS and assist the OS command teams with administrative duties, influence change within OS, and attend and evaluate OS recruitment & core functional practices, then you should apply as soon as possible!
Furthermore, I would like to take the time to announce that Dank, our current Head of Development Services, has now rejoined the servers development team! On the topic of development, in-progress development for some new pieces of specialised policing equipment are underway and making amazing progress, so stay tuned!
- Deputy Chief of Department Vinnie Bathory
